2. What Data We Collect

We collect personal data only when you voluntarily provide it — for example, when you fill in an enquiry form, download a guide, or request a quote. The data we may collect includes:

  • Name — so we can address you correctly
  • Email address — to send you the information you requested and respond to your enquiry
  • Phone number — if you provide it in an enquiry or booking form
  • Project details — such as property type, location, and technologies you are considering, to allow us to tailor our advice
  • Usage data — anonymous analytics data collected via Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (see Section 5)

We do not collect sensitive personal data (such as financial information, health data, or government identifiers) through our website forms.

3. Lawful Basis for Processing

Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases to process your personal data:

Contractual necessity (Article 6(1)(b))

When you request a quote or commission a design service, processing your contact details is necessary to fulfil that contract.

Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f))

We have a legitimate interest in responding to general enquiries, improving our website, and understanding how visitors use our content — provided this does not override your rights.

Consent (Article 6(1)(a))

Where we send follow-up marketing emails or technical newsletters, we rely on your explicit consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us or clicking unsubscribe in any email we send.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Respond to your enquiry or service request
  • Deliver the guide, report, or resource you requested
  • Send you technical updates or compliance information where you have opted in
  • Improve this website based on anonymous usage patterns

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

5. Third Parties

We share data with third-party services only where necessary to operate this website. These are:

Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site. This collects anonymous usage data such as pages visited, time on site, and device type. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics. Google Tag Manager manages the loading of these scripts. Google may process data outside the UK — see Google's Privacy Policy.

Supabase

Enquiry form submissions and guide download requests are stored securely in Supabase, a cloud database provider. Data is stored on servers within the European Economic Area. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your personal data for as long as it is needed to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected:

  • Enquiry form data — retained for 2 years from the date of submission, then deleted
  • Guide download records — retained for 1 year, then deleted
  • Project and contract records — retained for 6 years to comply with UK accounting and contract law obligations
  • Marketing consent records — retained until you withdraw consent
